]]>OSF HealthCare has named Lisa Schepers, DNP, as the next permanent president of OSF HealthCare Saint Anthony’s Health Center in Alton, Illinois. Schepers has been interim president since February 2026, when Zach Yoder departed to lead three other hospitals in the OSF Western Region.

As president, Schepers will oversee all operations at OSF Saint Anthony’s, with a focus on strengthening hospital performance, elevating patient experience and ensuring delivery of high-quality, cost-effective care to the communities OSF serves.

“I’m excited to have the opportunity to continue to lead this pillar of the Riverbend community,” Schepers said. “We have made great progress in recent years in delivering safe, quality care, highlighted by our recent fifth straight hospital safety A grade from the Leapfrog Group. But, we are always striving to improve, and I’m looking forward to leading those efforts.”

Schepers earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Deaconess College of Nursing in St. Louis, Missouri. She went on to earn a Master of Business Administration from Webster University and most recently achieved her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Chamberlain University.

Prior to serving as interim president at OSF Saint Anthony’s, Schepers was the hospital’s chief nursing officer. Recruitment for that position will begin immediately.

]]>Alec Grabowski, MBA, MHA, has been named president of OSF HealthCare Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. He will begin serving as president effective April 1, 2025. 

Grabowski will lead OSF Saint Anthony in aligning with the overall strategy of OSF HealthCare. He will be responsible for directing all internal operations while continuing to ensure that high quality and cost-effective health care is delivered to patients.

“I am very excited to have Alec join our team,” says AJ Querciagrossa, CEO, Western Region, OSF HealthCare. “His impressive operations background and his down-to-earth personality have served him well in all the areas he has led previously. His servant-first approach will position him well in his new role. I am looking forward to him getting started and engaging our physicians, leaders, Mission Partners, and others within our communities.”

Grabowski has 15 years of health care career experience. His most recent role was network chief executive officer for a three-hospital system in metro Charlotte, North Carolina, including Lake Norman, Davis Regional Medical Center and Davis Psychiatric Hospital, in addition to an extensive outpatient network.  

“I could not be more proud or more honored to join the OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center family,” says Grabowski. “I am excited about the future as I lead our care team members in providing excellent health care and offering a space where our patients feel valued and rely on us for all their health care needs.

]]>OSF HealthCare is pleased to announce that Eunmee Shim, MSN, has been named president of OSF HealthCare St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, effective January 6.

“As president, Eunmee will lead OSF St. Joseph in aligning with the overall strategy of OSF HealthCare. She will be responsible for directing all internal operations and helping OSF evolve when necessary to ensure that high-quality and cost-effective health care continues to be delivered to the patients we are blessed to serve,” said Carol Friesen, CEO for OSF HealthCare’s Eastern Region.

Shim will carry forward a culture of collaboration and integration that provides a safe Mission Partner and patient care environment. She will continue to embrace the Catholic health care heritage and support the Sisters’ Mission of serving with the greatest care and love.

Shim most recently served as president at Adventist Health Care Fort Washington Medical Center in Fort Washington, Maryland. She has served in several executive leadership positions including chief strategy officer, chief operating officer, and chief nursing officer throughout her career, which has provided her with a unique blend of clinical, operational and strategic experience.

Shim earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Sahmyook University in Seoul, Korea and a Master of Science in nursing informatics from Columbia University School of Nursing in New York, New York.

Derrick Frazier will continue to serve as interim president until Shim’s start date in January.
