Over the past three years, the head and neck oncology program at OSF Cancer Institute has seen a more than 300% increase in patients treated for head, neck and endocrine cancers. These patients often have unique and ongoing needs that may not be fully addressed in routine office visits.

The clinic brings together a multidisciplinary team to address those complex needs, including:

• Head and neck surgery 

• Survivorship cancer navigation 

• Voice and swallow 

• Physical therapy 

• Dietetics

Patients are seen individually for appointments with each service and specialty, allowing for comprehensive evaluation and coordinated support in a single visit. Family members are encouraged to attend and participate in care discussions. Medical supervision is provided by head and neck surgeons Jamal Ahmed, MD, and Guy J. Petruzzelli, MD, PhD, MBA, FACS, FSSO.
