Bless Our Best Friends

They say all dogs go to heaven, however a few of our best friends wanted to hedge their bet on that. October 4 is the feast day of Saint Francis, the Patron Saint of animals.

So, OSF HealthCare Saint Anthony Medical Center held its first blessing of the animals. It was organized by the hospital’s therapy animal program, where for nearly 11 years dogs and their volunteer handlers have provided comfort visiting patients in the medical center.
