Jerry Storm Honored as Pharmacist of the Year

OSF HealthCare is proud to announce that OSF HealthCare Senior Vice President of Pharmacy Services Jerry Storm has been named the 2019 Illinois Health-System Pharmacist of the Year.

The Pharmacist of the Year award is given annually to an individual of high moral character, good citizenship and high professional ideals, and who has made significant contributions affecting the practice of health-system pharmacy throughout the state.

“I feel honored to be recognized by my peers and to receive this award,” remarked Storm. “I am humbled with this recognition, but what I have been able to accomplish is a blessing from God by calling me to the profession of pharmacy and to OSF HealthCare. God has blessed me over the past 43 years by surrounding me with outstanding Mission Partners and mentors throughout my career.”

Storm has served as the senior vice president of OSF HealthCare’s Pharmacy Services since 2014, overseeing 360 employees in 13 hospital pharmacies and 5 community pharmacy operations.

He is a member of the Illinois Council of Health-System Pharmacists (ICHP) and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP).

Storm also served as president of the ICHP Board of Directors, representing the West Central Illinois Society of Health-System Pharmacists. He received the Outstanding Affiliate President Award during that time.
