OSF HealthCare Announces New Chief Medical Officer for Western Region

Dr. Cliff Martin will oversee clinical operations in Galesburg, Monmouth and Kewanee

OSF HealthCare is pleased to announce Clifford Martin, MD, has accepted the role of Regional Vice President, Chief Medical Officer and Regional Medical Director of Specialty Services in Galesburg, Monmouth and Kewanee. This includes leading medical affairs for OSF HealthCare St. Mary Medical Center, OSF HealthCare Holy Family Medical Center and OSF HealthCare Saint Luke Medical Center. His new role is effective July 30.

Dr. Martin will work to ensure that clinical programs are in place to meet the health care needs of those served in the region.

“I am very excited to take on the Chief Medical Officer and Specialty Directory roles, and I look forward to helping to maintain and grow the healthcare services that OSF provides to the Galesburg, Monmouth and Kewanee communities,” said Dr. Martin. “My wife Kathy and I will be moving into our new home in Galesburg in August and look forward to being involved in many of the wonderful community growth, development and support activities which make these three communities such vibrant places to live.”

Dr. Martin has served OSF in the role of Vice President of OSF HealthCare Medical Group in Alton, IL since 2016. Throughout his career, Dr. Martin has held leadership roles, as well as practiced medicine specializing in obstetrics and gynecology.

Dr. Martin received his Bachelor of Science in microbiology from the University of Montana and his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He completed a Masters of Medical Management from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
