Central Illinois has more access to mental health treatment now that the OSF HealthCare Sacred Heart Medical Center – Urbana renovation and expansion of inpatient behavioral health services is open.
Building on 65 years of caring for inpatient behavioral health patients in Urbana, the new units offer inpatient treatment for individuals who need immediate help or are in a state of crisis. Spanning multiple floors in the hospital, the renovation and service expansion includes specialized treatment programs for young adult patients ages 18-26 and senior patients ages 55 and older. A detoxification program will soon be available for patients who need a safe environment to withdraw from substances.
OSF Sacred Heart – Urbana, the area’s only adult inpatient behavioral health hospital, will offer 65 beds dedicated to mental health treatment.
Updates to the behavioral health expansion at OSF Sacred Heart – Urbana include:
