POINTCORE Construction Joint Venture Launched

CORE Construction and POINTCORE Construction are pleased to announce the opening of their new office at 601 SW Water Street in downtown Peoria.

“CORE Construction was founded in central Illinois over 82 years ago. As we have grown nationally, we have stayed true to our founding principles of servant leadership and trust. Our relocation to downtown Peoria is part of our full alignment with our newest partner, OSF, to fulfill our respective goals, values and missions in the communities we serve. CORE Illinois and POINTCORE Construction are excited to become a part of the Peoria community,” said Jim Jacobs, CEO of CORE Construction.

In early May, POINTCORE Construction, a joint venture between OSF HealthCare and CORE Construction, was launched. POINTCORE Construction will also be headquartered in the 601 SW Water Street location with 22 OSF Mission Partners serving in design and construction roles transitioning to POINTCORE Construction.

By aligning construction needs with a single partner, OSF HealthCare will be able to better assure consistent quality standards, allow greater speed and better cost control for OSF projects.

“While this decision aligns OSF HealthCare with a single general contractor, OSF will continue, whenever possible its commitment to utilize local subcontractors in all of our regions,” said Jim Mormann, CEO, Integrated Solutions, OSF HealthCare. “We are excited to partner and collaborate with a company which roots began in our community and holds the common values as OSF. The location of its offices into downtown is another example of OSF working with others to help revitalize the downtown area.”

POINTCORE Construction leadership is in the process of working with local contractors to introduce the team and discuss specifics of how the new joint venture will work.

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome the CORE and POINTCORE teams to downtown Peoria. OSF HealthCare continues to provide a spark as we revitalize the downtown area and work to attract even more business to our community,” added Jim Ardis, Peoria Mayor.
