Super Hero Window Washers Bring Joy to Hospitalized Children
When you clean windows for a living, the chance to put a smile on a sick child's face would be a good day at the office.
Captain America - aka Brian Baxter - and Batman - aka Rhett Winford - made the day for children and their families at OSF HealthCare Children's Hospital of Illinois in Peoria during the bi-annual window washing Monday, May 22, 2017.
Bloomington, Illinois-based Clearly Windows cleans the windows for the entire downtown Peoria campus of OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center, including the building that houses the Children's Hospital of Illinois. The two-man team will do approximately 70 drops from the roof just for this building and spend four-to-five days cleaning.
"We always allow an extra day or so when the Super Heroes come, because the team spends a little more time interacting with the kids - they love to see the smiles," said Dametric Burnett, Clearly Windows Division Manager.
