Medical Director Named at OSF HeathCare St. Joseph Medical Center Wound Care Clinic

OSF HealthCare St. Joseph Medical Center Wound Care Clinic, which offers state-of-the-art treatment practices and protocols to reintroduce the body's innate ability to heal, has appointed Marc Leonard DPM as medical director.

Dr. Leonard will be responsible for reviewing patient care and results, evaluating new clinical products and providing oversight and guidance on policies and procedures. A member of the Healogics™ network, the Wound Care Center® employs a rigorous scientific approach to explore, test, find and develop the clinically proven methods and technologies that help people heal faster and more completely than before.

Born and raised in Bloomington, Illinois, Dr. Leonard has been practicing podiatry in Bloomington and the surrounding areas for the past 15 years. Most recently he served as a Panel Physician at the St. Joseph Wound Care Clinic in Bloomington. Dr. Leonard has a special interest in diabetic and leg wounds, as well as foot and ankle surgeries.

Dr. Leonard graduated from Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine. He is board certified in foot, ankle, and rear foot surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

He is a member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery, the IPMA, and the APMA.
