OSF HealthCare announces retirement of central region CEO
Bob Anderson has been with OSF 44 years
OSF HealthCare is announcing the retirement of Bob Anderson, central region chief executive officer, effective January 3, 2025.
Anderson joined OSF HealthCare in 1980 as a student in the Clinical Laboratory Science program, which led him to pursue laboratory leadership roles, including director from 1987 - 2005. Anderson’s leadership career advanced over the years to include chief operating officer and then president for OSF HealthCare Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, followed by chief executive officer for the central region since 2022.
Anderson has played an integral role in the design and construction of many OSF Saint Francis projects including the OSF system lab building, the OSF Center for Health – Knoxville Ave., the behavioral health ambulatory building, the Learning Academy, and the OSF HealthCare Cancer Institute which opened in early 2024.
“It has been an honor and a joy for me to serve this organization and this community in various roles and capacities. I am proud of the achievements and accomplishments that we have made together. Thank you to all who have been part of my journey at OSF HealthCare,” said Anderson in announcing his retirement to OSF Mission Partners (employees).
OSF HealthCare will begin the search for Anderson’s replacement immediately to allow time for transition before his retirement in January.
