OSF Children’s Hospital dedicates future home of Pediatric Specialty Care Center

OSF HealthCare Children’s Hospital of Illinois marked a major milestone with a dedication ceremony for the future Pediatric Specialty Care Center, which will be located at 800 NE Glen Oak Ave. in Peoria, steps from the main hospital and connected internally.

Set to open in spring 2027, the Pediatric Specialty Care Center will bring multiple pediatric subspecialties together in one centralized location, including cardiology, neurology, pulmonology and urology. The facility will also include on-site imaging and laboratory services to support coordinated, efficient care for patients and their families.

The new center is designed to streamline the care experience by reducing the need for families to travel between multiple locations for appointments and testing. OSF leaders noted the project supports continued growth in pediatric specialty services and increasing demand across the region.

Leaders, Mission Partners and invited guests gathered for the ceremony to recognize the progress of the project and its future impact on pediatric care delivery. As part of the event, attendees also participated in a time capsule activity that will be opened 10 years after the center is operational.
