OSF HealthCare and HealthLink Reach Agreement on Contract for Urbana and Danville Hospitals

OSF HealthCare has reached an agreement with HealthLink to ensure patients at OSF HealthCare Heart of Mary Medical Center in Urbana and OSF HealthCare Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville continue to receive high-quality in-network medical care and services.

The Urbana and Danville hospitals joined the OSF HealthCare Ministry in February. The newly signed contract is retroactive to February 1, 2018 – meaning HealthLink members who received eligible care at these facilities from that date forward are in-network and covered by the terms and conditions of the new agreement.

“We are pleased to continue OSF HealthCare’s relationship with HealthLink that ensures patients and families have in-network access to the treatments and services they need,” said Randy Billings, senior vice president of population health. “We realize this situation caused concern for our patients and families. We are grateful for the support and patience of local businesses and community leaders as we worked toward reaching a new agreement with HealthLink.”

HealthLink is an insurance option offered to employees of the State of Illinois as well as other employers in the Danville and Urbana communities. Other options for state employees include Aetna, Coventry, and HealthAlliance, all of which have been accepted at OSF HealthCare Heart of Mary Medical Center and OSF HealthCare Sacred Heart Medical Center for some time.

The addition of this agreement means nearly all state employee insurance plans are accepted across the OSF HealthCare Ministry. A complete list of insurance plans accepted at OSF HealthCare can be found on the OSF HealthCare website.

Patients who delayed procedures or sought treatment elsewhere are encouraged to contact OSF HealthCare Heart of Mary Medical Center at 217.337.2302 or OSF HealthCare Sacred Heart Medical Center at 217.443.5273 to reschedule their services.
