OSF HealthCare CFO Named Chair Elect of National Board

OSF HealthCare Chief Financial Officer Michael Allen, MHA, CPA, FHFMA has been named Chair Elect of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) Board of Directors. He has been a volunteer leader with the HFMA for more than 20 years, including his current three year term on the organization’s national board of directors.

Allen joined OSF HealthCare as its Chief Financial Officer in September of 2015. He has more than 30 years of experience in business and in the health care industry, including eight years in public accounting and 18 years serving as a chief financial officer for health systems.

Allen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois, a Master of Health Administration from the University of Minnesota, St. Paul, Minnesota, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

He previously chaired the Minnesota Hospital Association finance committee, and has served on other industry boards and committees over the duration of his career.
