OSF HealthCare joins American Telemedicine Association’s digital health alliance as founding partner

The American Telemedicine Association (ATA) has announced the launch of its new ATA Center of Digital Excellence (CODE), an innovative alliance with leading health systems dedicated to advancing the integration of digital care pathways to support patients throughout their healthcare journeys. By convening health systems and digital health leaders, CODE will drive the development and implementation of best practices that prioritize patient-centered care, equitable access, and improved clinical and operational outcomes.

This landmark initiative, CODE is dedicated to leveraging cutting-edge digital tools, technologies, and services to enhance workflows, better engage more patients, and improve healthcare accessibility. OSF HealthCare joins the founding members which also include Intermountain Health, Mayo Clinic, MedStar Health, Ochsner Health, Sanford Health, Stanford Health Care, UPMC, and West Virginia University Medicine Children’s Hospital — all recognized leaders in digital care delivery innovation.

 Membership organizations will share their insights and proven strategies by contributing to published workflows, success stories, and benchmarks that shape best practices and maturity models in digital care delivery, helping others develop sustainable and effective models for integrating digital care

With these renowned health systems, we are setting the standard for how innovation and technology can enhance, extend, and equalize access to high-quality healthcare for all."

Elissa Baker, BSN, RN, an established advocate for digital health transformation, has joined the ATA as Senior Vice President, Digital Strategy and Clinical Innovation, to spearhead CODE's launch and ongoing engagement efforts. She will work directly with CODE members to set strategies that will position the center as a vital catalyst in reshaping the digital care delivery landscape. As CODE expands, its founding members will accept applications from additional health systems, clinical leaders, and solution providers and will host regular summits and events to facilitate knowledge exchange, highlight successful case studies, and provide practical guidance to the broader healthcare community. Published resources will be accessible to the ATA member community through ATA’s Member Connection starting in the Spring of 2025.

In addition to CODE's founding health systems, companies including Access TeleCare and AvaSure have joined as founding sponsors. They will bring their expertise and insights to strengthen CODE’s product development knowledge base and support its mission to advance digital health solutions across care settings.
