OSF HealthCare Earns 2022 Most Wired Recognition
OSF HealthCare has earned the 2022 CHIME Digital Health Most Wired recognition from the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). This marks the eleventh consecutive year OSF has achieved this honor.
The Digital Health Most Wired survey and recognition program serves as a comprehensive “Digital Health Check-up” for health care organizations across the world. The annual survey assesses how effectively core and advanced technologies are applied to improve health care.
Among the more than 38,000 organizations surveyed by CHIME, OSF HealthCare ranked above peers in categories like analytics and data management, population health, infrastructure, and patient engagement.
Participants receive certification based on their overall performance, with level 10 being the highest. This year OSF HealthCare is honored to be Level 9 certified in Ambulatory Care technology and Level 9 certified in Acute Care technology. This is a marked achievement; OSF HealthCare is one of only 88 organizations that achieved level 9 or 10 in Acute Care, and one of only 77 organizations to reach that level in Ambulatory Care. OSF has seen its certification levels rise across all 15 hospitals, advancing from a Level 7 in both categories in 2019 to today’s achievements of Level 9.

Each participating organization received a customized benchmarking report, an overall score and scores for individual levels in eight segments: infrastructure; security; business/disaster recovery; administrative/supply chain; analytics/data management; interoperability/population health; patient engagement; and clinical quality/safety.
This is the fifth year that CHIME has conducted the survey and overseen the program. In each successive year, CHIME has expanded the survey to capture more types of organizations that serve patients across the continuum of care.
